Aug 01,  · Ma et al. improved the dispersion stability of ZnO nanoparticles by treatment with a KH silane coupling agent. Shen et al. modified Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles with KH silane-coupling agents for better dispersibility in organic solvents. Truong et al. treated the Al 2 O 3 nanoparticle surface with two different silane coupling agents, (3-chloropropyl)triethoxysilane and (octyl)triethoxysilane Osbel, who finished his thesis last summer in i-MEET, obtained the "EXTRAORDINARY AWARD OF DOCTORATE in the Branch of Sciences" for the / Doctoral School call of Universitat Jaume I of blogger.com thesis was titled "Hysteresis and Capacitive Features of Perovskite Solar Cells Our group is driven by the passion of discovering new reactivity in organic chemistry, especially using catalysis. Basing on high energy molecules, such as strained rings or cyclic hypervalent iodine reagents for electrophilic alkynylation and other transformations, we develop non-conventional bond disconnections for the synthesis of important building blocks and bioactive molecules, as well

Optoelectronic Materials and Device Spectroscopy Group StranksLab. Check out our review on heterogeneity in perovskites featured on the front cover of Nature Reviews Materials. Our review on charge carrier recombination and carrier lifetimes in perovskites is published in Chemical Reviews. Sam gives an interview with the Amp Hour podcast on perovskites and solar. Our research focuses on the optical and electronic properties of emerging semiconductors for low-cost, transformative electronics applications including light-harvesting e. photovoltaic and light-emission eg LED devices. We use optical spectroscopy to understand material and device photophysics on a range of length and time scales, and relate these characteristics directly to local chemical, structural and morphological properties through multimodal measurements.

This provides a unique platform to discover new semiconducting materials, unveil power loss mechanisms in devices, guide innovative device designs, and push device performance to the limits.

Our developed devices and in-situ and in-operando organic solar cells phd thesis approaches are applicable to a range of fields including energy materials, medical imaging and biological systems. We also have a strong emphasis in the group on making our work accessible to the public through a number of outreach and media activities.
